As far back as I can remember I have loved drawing

As far back as I can remember I have loved drawing - and particularly animation – any type of cartoon character. In 2010 I was offered a ‘Creative Apprenticeship’ through Autism Initiative. In September 2010 I began my apprenticeship with ‘The Gallery on the Corner’. Over the past 2 years my art skills have developed. During my time at the GOTC I began painting some of Edinburgh’s most well known and historic buildings. My most challenging to date was a commission of the famous ‘Balmoral Hotel’. My interest in different styles of buildings has grown – be it historic, classic or modern and this continues to be my most successful works of art. My love of animation is apparent in these paintings. Through my unique animated style I feel I capture the buildings of Edinburgh in an eye catching but simplistic way without losing their character. I was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder around the age of 6.
