G.E.W. Shepherd

Surrealism, abstract, landscape, portraits, social commentary

G.E.W. Shepherd has been a artist for many years. ‭He has worked in most graphic and painting media but now concentrates on photography and digital art. He is also a writer of poetry and prose - much of this work being highly experimental.‭ ‬His writing and much of his art work has a strong surrealistic element,‭ ‬although he is also attracted to landscapes,‭ ‬animals and the human figure. Instinctively drawn to the principles of Jainism since a child,‭ ‬he is passionately interested in animal welfare and wildlife conservation and his political views lean heavily to the left.‭ ‬This is sometimes reflected in his work.
