Paintings illustrating the world I see

Hemianopia is a condition in which a person sees only one side of the visual world due to a problem in brain function rather than a disorder of the eyes themselves. I myself have left hemianopia after a brain injury sustained in a road traffic accident in 2011 meaning I can only see the right side of the world. I’ve found that the most necessary path to recovery is engaging with people in a way in which to make them understand my sight loss. I started painting in a rehabilitation centre using art as a therapy in 2017.

I have already sent my comments on you extraordinary Art work. I needed to say; I agree your pictures would be of tremendous benefit to other BIs and carers. Have you been able to make some printed copies of your work? Also Headway are having an exhibition on the 19th of this month at Headway, is the work you did there in the exhibition? There would be much appreciation if it were to be displayed there.
