Outside In was set up by Pallant House Gallery in 2006 to promote the work of those facing barriers to the art world.

Outside In’s main vehicle is a triennial open art exhibition, first held in 2007 and featuring 100 artists from across Sussex. By 2012, the project had gone national, growing significantly to engage more than 1,500 artists and 13,000 audience members. In 2013, we won the prestigious Charity Award in the Arts, Culture, and Heritage category.

Our next triennial exhibition is planned for 2015/16.
