National Trust project shortlisted for award

featuring illustrations by Outside In artist William Hanekom

In autumn 2016, the National Trust launched their ‘Potter and Ponder’ sensory map of the the Croome Estate in Worcesterhsire. The map encourages visitors with disabilities to experience the estate's beautiful parkland using touch, sight, sound, taste, and smell during their visit. Outside In artist William Hanekom produced 12 drawings for the map to illustrate that various ways visitors could use their senses to explore the site.

We are excited to reveal that the map has been put forward for two national awards. Firstly, for the Interpreting the Outdoors category at the Visitor Experience Awards and secondly for the Educational Initiative category at the Museum Heritage Awards.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for a win!
