Applications now open for Exploring Collections at Pallant House Gallery

New Step Up training and exhibition opportunity

Applications are now open for Outside In artists to take part in a pioneering two-part project which will be held at Pallant House Gallery.
As part of the award-winning charity’s professional Step Up training programme, successful applicants will undertake the Exploring Collections course which will result in an exhibition to coincide with the gallery’s summer show of work by Ivon Hitchens.

Marc Steene, founder and director of Outside In, said: “Step Up courses are a vital way in which Outside In works to develop artists’ skills in order to open up doors and opportunities in the art world. This course is particularly exciting as it will provide a unique insight to the gallery’s collection as well as giving artists the chance have their own work showcased on such a prestigious platform.”

The course, which has space for up to six participants, will be run by an experienced tutor over ten half-day sessions from Friday 5 April to Friday 14 June at Pallant House Gallery, North Pallant, Chichester. Responses, created by Outside In artists, will then be displayed from 29 June to 13 October, 2019, in Room 9 at Pallant House Gallery alongside Ivon Hitchens: Space through Colour.

The deadline for applications is Monday, 11 March.
