Online Shop FAQ’s for the buyer
We hope that the below answers any queries that you may have in regards to the online shop and making any purchases.
- Who should I contact if I am interested in buying some work from the online shop or if I have an enquiry?
If you see some work in the online shop that you would like to make an enquiry about or you would like to purchase, please fill out the enquiry form and a member of the Outside In team will be in touch as soon as possible. Please be aware that the artist will be contacted to check if the work is still available, which may take a while if a letter has to be sent.
- Once I have heard from the Outside In team about the art work being available, how do I make a payment?
Payment can be made either by bank transfer, paypal or by cheque. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact the Outside In team who will provide you with the account details. To pay by paypal, the email address needed is: firstname.lastname@example.org. Finally to pay by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Pallant House Gallery’ and post it to: Jennifer Gilbert, Outside In, Pallant House Gallery, 9 North Pallant, Chichester, PO19 1TJ. Please remember that cheques take five working days to clear once they have been banked.
- How long will it take for the artwork to arrive?
Once the payment has cleared (please allow five working days for cheques to clear) then the Outside In team will be in touch to arrange a suitable delivery method and day. Please be aware that often the work will be coming from the artist’s house or the centre/studio they attend, so consideration needs to be given to the time needed to pack and send off the work. We endeavour to get the work out as soon as possible.
- Who should I contact if I am interested in some work in the artist’s online gallery that does not feature in the online shop?
If you have spotted some art work on the website by an artist that is not featured in the online shop, it may still be for sale so please enquire by emailing Jennifer Gilbert, Outside In Manager on: email@example.com or calling 01243 770 846. The Outside In team will then contact the artist to see if the work is still available and if it is for sale. You will then be contacted with the answer and if it is for sale and you choose to buy it, the normal payment procedure applies as outlined above.
- What if the work doesn’t arrive when I expect it to?
If the work has not arrived after the specified delivery date, please get in touch with the Outside In team by emailing Jennifer Gilbert, Outside In Manager on: firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01243 770 846.
- Why should I buy work from the online shop?
Buying work from the Outside In online shop greatly increases the confidence and self-esteem of the artists who choose to align themselves with the project, often encouraging them to carry on creating work. Additionally, Outside In takes a small commission, which is put straight back into the project ensuring we are able to continue to support those facing barriers to the art world.
Please note: Due to the nature of the artists that the project works with, even if works are in the online shop, it cannot be guaranteed that the work is still available upon request. We apologise for this inconvenience, but will always check with the artist after the initial enquiry to check this information.
