As far back as I can remember I have loved drawing – and particularly animation –any type of cartoon character.
In 2010 I was offered a ‘Creative Apprenticeship’ through Autism Initiative. In September 2010 I began my apprenticeship with ‘The Gallery on the Corner’. Over the past 2 years my art skills have developed.
During my time at the GOTC I began painting some of Edinburgh’s most well known and historic buildings. My most challenging to date was a commission of the famous ‘Balmoral Hotel’. My interest in different styles of buildings has grown –be it historic, classic or modern and this continues to be my most successful works of art.
My love of animation is apparent in these paintings. Through my unique animated style I feel I capture the buildings of Edinburgh in an eye catching but simplistic way without losing their character.
I was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder around the age of 6.
