Azure Blue is a creative amateur (or amateur creative!) who enjoys playing and experimenting with a wide variety of mediums, subject matter and artistic styles for personal enjoyment and to convey a deeper social message.
Born in Surrey, but hailing from the West Country, she formerly attended a weekly women’s art group and a charity studio space.
She started considering herself an “environmental artist” after creating a 5 ft plastic sculpture five years ago called Landfill: A Rubbish Piece of Art, with singular, tiny, hand-cut squares of colour, representing individual bags of rubbish and the UK’s combined daily disposal of non-recycled waste.
Azure Blue finds art has therapeutic benefits and is about creative self-expression, freedom and exploring the wider world around her.
