I create my work against the backdrop of my life experiences, including the intense time of my husband’s critical illness and survival thanks to a heart transplant.
I respond to my feeling of being deeply connected with nature, and to themes which resonate with me and which influence my view on the world, whether they affect me directly or indirectly. This includes ecological concerns, feminist values, Brexit and healing.
I mainly work in sculpture, performance, photography and combinations of these.
I studied art as a mature student in recent years and graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen (Scotland) with a BA(Hons), first class.
