From the artist:
I have travelled much during my life and lived In Australia at one point for 2 years. Part of the reasons to travel was to see new horizons and meet people from different cultures. New experiences always expand my being. As a result of my travels I took always made sure I took a small pocket sized sketchbook to record my journeys visually. This piece was created when I was camping in Devon on a Buddhist Retreat. When your in a enclosed space of a small tent, the space in the sky becomes more significiant and much more noticeable when your immersed in nature. I often find on retreats you begin to see things more and have a different relationship them and your self. It is apparent form this painting that I was feeling gentle and softer within, and in a way I saw the sky in its truest form.
