From the artist:
The final piece from the Step Up: Exploring Collections course at Pallant House Gallery. It is currently being exhibited at Pallant House Gallery until 13 October (so will be available for the exhibition). The chalk paths represent time, and how over time we are slowly destroying the world through our modern society and consumerism. When I walked the chalk paths, there was a sense of it being ancient and as a human race, we were more connected to nature then. Devil's Dyke has the oldest hill fort in the south downs, and this is where the picture is based.
