I keep trying to write something but the words flail about and smack down the meaning that I meant. I am driven by comedy because of what and who I am. Cloud Parliament exists and it gives me somewhere to belong, somewhere to be, a reason, a directional lifeline, a lifeforce. I am absolutely dreadfully inept among people – a total catastrophe –so I don’t leave the house. But I do have a sense of humour and it’s a means of connection, a small link, a whoop-a-doop and away in the wind slink-of-a-smile and grin and guffaw. I think I am more cartoonist than artist. I work very quickly because it’s the ideas that matter to me and they are many and multiple and palpable. I create piles of pictures a day. Dear oh dear, they’re heaping up alongside notebooks and sheets of captions and text because this has been going on all my life. Without them I really am no one and nothing. I do hope my work resonates with other people but I shall continue anyway even if it’s a case of isolating the isolated, a hermit living in an a big, silenced bell and daubing the inside with images of chimes. Thank you.
