I can remember being quite young at junior school in art class, where teachers would often comment on my pictures (usually trees and woodland scenes) and bring my classmates attention to my work – which would make me feel pleased and proud of myself!
I have always been in love with stones, mushrooms, flowers and animals. I am fascinated with cats in particular. So i am very inspired with nature in general. watercolour is probably my greatest artistic love, but i have used oils and i love the versatility of acrylics.
A few years ago i was fortunate to work a lot with ceramics and even including porcelain. At the moment i would like to try my hand at making some sculptures, my idea is to make different kinds of mushrooms, varying size, texture and colours, with the aim that the pieces can be displayed indoors and out. I dream (or ambition) of mine is to someday have something of my artwork on show at the Nature-in-Arts Museum (Gloucestershire)
