From the artist:
This moving image and installation work is inspired by Guy Debord's, Society of the Spectacle and Plato's, Allegory of the Cave. This experimental work explores fake news, post-truth and happy clickers in the wake of Trump, Brexit and the recent General Election. It comments on the religious fervour of political allegiance, blind faith and patriarchy. Exhibited on a large screen and replicated in a 'font' placed in the middle of the room, a masked figure interrupts the space, questioning your willingness to denounce emancipation. Visuals and sound repeat on a loop. The tracks were made using an experimental method of music making utlising digital instruments and quotes from Debord's work.
