From the artist:
I was walking with my friend on the grounds of Gotwick Manor in East Sussex when I saw a beautiful, tiny stone bridge. I named it The Troll Bridge because I could instantly imagine river trolls making it their home. I drew it because I wanted to visually portray the magic I felt in this beautiful place and the excitement I experienced in being there. I limited myself to four colours and black only (the 'Conte a Paris' collection of four hard chalk pastels) because using a limited colour palate helps me to appreciate, explore and combine each shade to its fullest extent. The effect created portrays, for me, the blurring between physical reality and imagination.
