From the artist:
An abstract painting that evokes a total sense of place I experienced in North Wales. It refers to the colours, textures, buildings, history and landscapes and even the drizzle pattern of a cake I ate up there. It concentrates on the history of North Wales, when invading armies came into Wales and the indigenous Welsh tried to defend their land by guerilla tactics like ambushes. The vertical form adds disorientation, like an ambush would to an army. There is references to the bow and arrows they used also.
