Thank you so much for wanting to find out a little more about me. Art for me is an expression of the impressions that life leaves behind. Emotional footprints. It may be a film I have seen, a book I have read, an emotion I have felt, or an event in life’s incredibly complex weave. Most of my work reflects a moment in time that was kind enough to leave a beautifully visual calling card, that will rattle around in my mind’s eye until I finally surrender, and pick up my paintbrush! I love being outside, weather permitting.
I would love my viewers to look at my work, as is, and be ignited by the colours and energies that gather together in the work, creating a visual storybook of my life the day, week or month that I embarked on the work in question. Being physically disabled, being outdoors presents it’s challenges, but I do have a beach hut to take refuge in, which I adore. Following a heart attack in early November 2018, I am spending rest time finally getting my website up and running, www.theartistonthebeach.com – please come visit! It’s still WIP but it gives you a bit more info 🙂
