From the artist:
This piece, created in the small space of my trailer, is where the past and present collide. It concerns itself with the escape from one's actual environment that making art provides. As a child, I would secrete myself under the kitchen table with paper and pencil crayons, and block out what was actually happening around me in my home environment. I would draw animals, often rabbits in warrens, leading an idyllic kind of life; safe from the chaos, hidden, underground.
