From the artist:
This piece holds possible questions and possible answers. Questions and answers to both past, present and a possible future i say possible future because unless someone can see the future the future is unwritten. The elements of the painting (working from the bottom) In each of the bottom corners is an image of a human or rather a husk or shell both are empty and hollow nothing left inside not even a soul. In between them is a timer which represents the sands of time and time is running out. The middle/centre The image of christ on the cross dying for the sins and wrongs of humanity but then rising from the dead to save humanity. This is a question i've asked myself many times like what if the second coming hasn't happened yet? What if the second coming is on it's way? and that this story or even all the biblical writings are just a map or guide lines to a future that is yet to happen? The flames also represent the end and the beginning (fire destroys but from the ashes new life is born) and when the earth burns a new way of life will begin and this is were the flying saucer comes into the equation of "The Second Coming" which then questions Earths history, religions, were we came from and were we (humanity) is going. Is "The Second Coming" going to be of extra terrestrial origin? will they or are they the ones who save us? The faces around the central image is a representation of all the souls of humanity screaming out to be saved. To be saved from ourselves. The syringes represent how we are poisoning ourselves slowly destroying the planet like an addict even though they know what they do is wrong they will still do it because it makes them feel good even though they know it will or can kill them.
