The painting ‘Loneliness’ is a self-portrait is painted as simply as possible to describe how I feel and how loneliness is part of sadness, loss and mourning to me. Colour is used to express how loneliness can have a positive effect with life and is not all negative as with loneliness. There comes time to wonder and reflect on times that have past.
‘The Dancing and the Darkness’ began as an experimental painting one evening and was painted whilst I was wondering about old times and history over hundreds of years ago. It is built up as a painting to remember church and of something I would find difficult to describe more than this.
