This quotation applies to each of two roundels attached alternatively to the first mosaic shown. I found the quotation in a book entitled Thin Blue’ by Johnny Diamond about the police in South Africa which I read while police forces in Britain were being criticized for the application of their powers and the consequnces for cilil liberty.
