Identity, loss and longing have always been the core themes of my work, ever since I first started out on my art journey as a naïve, young introverted creative. They are the themes inherent to my being. Looking back over my creative journey, I now recognise these themes with ease… However, my deeply personal art and poetry have been my survival tools, rather than attempts to assert myself as an “artist” within an art world that revolts me.
Art and language have long been the only places in which I could safely seek out the inner “conversations” and the explorations I so desperately needed throughout my life.
Art and language have been my finding places.
