From the artist:
The clashing, colliding and intertwining of ‘ideas’ in textural form. And how nature plays a controlled role in that, until it doesn’t. I have collected hundreds of second hand images, unconscious documentations, human residue, so to speak, found on the World Wild Web, wether this may be a snapshot from google maps, a slanted depiction photo on Wikipedia commons, advertisement, stock or a shock blurred shot of a bear attack on a ski slope. I would like to present these awkward, unfiltered images as subjects for diligent depictions in paint. This is not a stage to the human drama, though they may contain people they are no more pronounced and of no more importance than the other aspects of the image. I’m attracted to images that involve a play of both human and natural elements, in structure, influence or being. A conversation in object.. a very real need to find coherence in contradiction.
