I was born in Penang, Malaysia to an Indian family.
After moving to London in the mid-1990s, I eventually found my way to art college at Central St. Martin’s where I studied art and design.
I am primarily an abstract painter, but my work also reflects a myriad of cultural and contemporary themes. Coming from a complex, multi-cultural background I strive to depict transition, emotion, and feelings. Employing paint, collage, and found objects, I try to bring an original modern vision to traditional themes of nature, religion, and the human condition.
My work has been exhibited at many venues including a solo exhibition at The Abbey Centre in Westminster and in a group exhibition, with Portugal Prints, at the Royal Academy of Arts and the St Pancras Hospital Gallery
