I have been making art since childhood. Making art helps me make sense of the world. It can help me visualise a future, or to understand someone. My work can be sociopolitical it can be fun, or, hopefully, nice to look at, you can be sure I enjoyed making it.
I studied Fine Art, part time over five years in Bournemouth, saying that very little of the philosophy of Post Modern orthodoxy got through, I simply couldn’t get through the unnecessary complexity of the language, way too clever for my head, I didn’t read a single book, but graduated my Fine Art Hons degree all the same. I feel myself a bit outside the art world. Though I graduated over ten years ago, slowed by disabilities and now 65 I am now wanting to launch my ‘career’.
