From the artist:
(A print of) a digitally-edited photo collage made from my own photographs, and featuring Battersea Park in London and a mannequin from a shop in Kemp Town, Brighton. The photograph of the park was taken in September, but in this instance I have edited the colours to make it appear more like Spring. I suffer with SAD, so the onset of autumn is always a difficult time for me. Likewise the mannequin in the picture appears vulnerable and alone in her underwear, just as many people in London are vulnerable now whether through poverty, inadequate housing or elderly and isolated. The changing seasons also make us vulnerable and like the butterflies in the picture, maybe we also long to escape from the limitations of the urban environment.
