I’ve drawn ever since I was a child. I find drawing very therapeutic, I can be in my own world and do what I want. I recently graduated from university after studying BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media. I’ve always been drawn into German expressionism because of their use of dark colours and mark marking. Fiction and non-fiction stories influence my work a lot, my work tells a story. I like featuring powerful women in my work and tragic stories, even if they still unknown, I like to put it in my own way. I have lots of stories ideas which include witchcraft or female pirates. My process is very experimental with different printmaking techniques and drawing. I use the photocopier to scale the size, adjust the colour and shading. When it comes to the point I am happy with the images, I put it all together in the book I want. There is freedom with this process and I never know how it is going to turn out. I would like my books to be published one day and have my work displayed in a gallery.
