Outside In: The Magazine
Outside In’s new quarterly magazine is accessible, inspiring and interactive – with news, opportunities, interviews, support details and ‘keep creative’ guides to ensure our community of artists, partners and supporters are informed and feel connected to each other and the charity.
The first edition has a focus on the creativity and resilience shown by artists during the Covid-19 pandemic as well as showcasing the strides made by Outside In during this time and the exciting opportunities, exhibitions and events coming up.
The second issue has an exhibitions focus. It looks ahead to the exciting programme – both online and in real life – taking us to the end of the year and beyond, plus we hear from artists about the impact shows can have on the individual and on the artworld.
Launching this magazine, which coincided with the new audio and visual podcast, is a continuation of Outside In work to ensure accessibility. With the pandemic having seen a heightened focus on virtual activity due to the restrictions which have been in place, the charity is determined to make sure information is available to all. Despite the accessibility benefits which has come with so much activity taking place online, and Outside In’s exciting plans to build on the work it has done here, it is vitally important that it doesn’t become another barrier for those who don’t wish to, or can’t, engage in this way.
Digital versions of the magazine can be read and downloaded below, or by clicking the covers above, alternatively if you would like a hard copy or to be added to the mailing list for the next edition please email Laura.Miles@outsidein.org.uk.
