A solo exhibition featuring paintings from RoaR archive

An exhibition of work by Michael Smith will be taking place at Gallery 133, 133 King Street, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, until 14 April 2015.

Michael combines found objects with traditional artists materials to create bold, sophisticated and dynamic works that often illustrate his experiences and surroundings of rural Norfolk. This is a unique opportunity to view paintings, works on loan and new assemblages including his latest series of deconstructed denim jeans in a fascinating Grade 2 listed buildings.

Michael has been working at the Barrington Farm art studio for adults with learning difficulties for over 20 years. A well known British Outsider Artist, Michael has shown work at Tate Modern and has work in various public and private collections including the Musgrave Kinley Outsider Art Archive and the Museum of Everything.

Gallery 133 is a new social enterprise in the heart of the historic seaside town of Yarmouth. A former 17th Century merchants house, it also provides artists studios and creative opportunities for the community.
