Nnena Kalu has been working at Action Space's South London studio at Studio Voltaire in Clapham for over 12 years.
Nnena works in an obsessive and determined way. She is very versatile and interested in using a wide range of materials, developing a wide range of art works, all with the underlying approach of systematic layering. Nnena's recent sculptural work enables her to indulge her layering techniques whilst also working more freely.
Over the last two years Nnena has developed a huge number of large sculptural pieces using combinations of paper, fabric and foam.
