Two Outside In artists; Aradne and Mitsi Brown, will have work in an exhibition at The Wellbeing Gallery as part of the Artists Open Houses throughout May.
Working intuitively, Aradne looks at her work as a language or tool to communicate how she sees the world in her mind and not through her eyes. The artist stitches automatically straight onto the fabric using hand and machine embroidery techniques on fine muslin, predominantly in black and white.
Mitsi Brown paints the things around her, with subjects verging on the disturbing, dark or humorous side. Evoking enormous emotional force and beauty found within the human mind, each one of the artist's paintings evolves freely and independently, driven by emotion.
The exhibtion is open for the first four weekends in May, 12 – 4pm.
