It started in 2007 as an art competition for marginalised artists in Sussex with 100 participants. This year there were 800 entries from 500 artists as far flung as Cumbria and Newcastle. The biennial art competition marks the centre-point of the ground-breaking ‘Outside In’, providing a platform to showcase marginalised artists who have little or no contact with the mainstream institutions of the art world. You can see the selected and prize-winning works in Rooms 15, 16 and 17 until 8 November.
