To mark Carers Week, we have spoken to Sally Waldren – an Outside In artist who also attends Care for Art at Pallant House Gallery. Here, she describes her image of Frida Kahlo and Edward Burra:
"I have drawn this pastel image of Frida Kahlo and Edward Burra as a reminder of the two exhibitions. Viewing the work of accomplished artists I do find inspirational, and attending art groups at Allen House and Capital, where with amateurs like myself and with the tutelage of professionals I have been inspired to do a variety of watercolour copies of birds and ballet dancers. I find working in a group such as Partners in Art in the Studio at Pallant House Gallery galvanises me into creativity with the words of our instructor. Being a Christian has also inspired me to persevere."
