Dream me up Scottie

Famous outsider artist Scottie Wilson is on exhibition in the Prints Room at Pallant House Gallery.

Scottie Wilson was in his early 40s when he discovered his compulsion for drawing, picking up a pen one day and finding he could not stop. Yet despite his unorthodox background (and virtual illiteracy), Wilson’s visionary drawings were admired and collected by the likes of Picasso and Dubuffet. His work now graces the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Gallery, and he is considered to be one of the most celebrated Outsider artists of the twentieth-century.
