Earlier in the year, we were contacted by the people behind the Frame and Reference website, which features the work of 18 of the leading arts organisations and venues in the South East and is a Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East initiative. They have been running a series focusing on Outsider Art (for which Outside In Founder Marc Steene has written a piece)
This time, they wanted to ask a few of our artists what they think of the label 'Outsider Art' and what it means to them. We gathered thoughts from Carlo Keshishian, Steve Murison, Jan Arden and Tess Springall.
