Alongside the Outside In: National in October 2012, Pallant House Gallery will hold a major exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculptures by the influential French artist, Jean Dubuffet, who was known as the father of Art Brut. This will be the first major review of his work since the mid-1960s and will feature key loans from the Tate, the National Gallery of Scotland and the Pompidou Centre, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Foundation Dubuffet in France. The exhibition will focus on a particular moment in Dubuffet’s career when his Art Brut collection returned from the United States and the impact this had on his work.
The Dubuffet exhibition being displayed at the same time as the Outside In: National will provide a unique opportunity for the public to see the work of Dubuffet alongside work by artists who find it diffcult to access the art world.
There will be a talk on Jean Dubuffet in our events programme by leading French curator Laurent Danchin at Pallant House Gallery.
Would you be willing to help us by supporting the Jean Dubuffet exhibition and, in return, receive a unique limited edition signed giclée print of an artwork by the award-winning Outside In artist Carlo Keshishian. (www.carlokeshishian.com)
The Gallery has commissioned Carlo to produce a spiral artwork containing the names of all the Jean Dubuffet exhibition supporters. For a minimum donation of £250 you will receive one of Carlo’s signed prints as well as having your name listed in the Gallery as a member of the Supporters’ Circle. We will also be arranging an exclusive event for supporters and Patrons to which you will be invited as well as enjoying free entry to the exhibition.
Please get in contact with Jennifer (email@example.com) if you would like a donation form. Thank you.
