Project Ability are seeking applications from Glasgow-based artists to take part in our residency programme 2013 in our fully accessible studios in Trongate 103. Artists will be given one month-long slot each, spanning from May – October 2013. They will be offered an open studio space, freedom and support to concentrate on the development of their work.
Applications are particularly welcomed from artists who have a disability or from those who have a project that is specific to the Project Ability community and its activities. This opportunity will be particularly suited to artists who wish to explore interaction in their work, community based aspects of their practice or those who wish to engage with disability art networks through a project.
The successful artists will have access to a workshop space and production facilities Monday to Friday 10-4pm for one full calendar month. This is not private space and you will have the opportunity to interact fully with Project Ability’s artists and wider community. There is also the opportunity to work in the clay, glass, printmaking and project spaces which can be bookable during your residency. A reasonable materials allowance will be made available from our stock supply (i.e. paint, canvas, paper, clay etc) and travel expenses can also be covered.
