A four person exhibition by Project Ability artists Jonathan Barr, John Beaton, Robert McKenzie and Sandra Ormiston presented as part of Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art Included Programme 2012.
In response to the festival theme Real Time, the exhibition explores the occurrence of speech as a central idea. The World Awaits (For More Info) is a presentation of new work by four Project Ability artists working in the Aspire programme encompassing painting, drawing, ceramic relief objects and floor based text installations. The work created represents a visual language equivalent to the texture and tonality of speech and the artists current practices collectively sit within various dialogues; formed by notes, stories, urgent calligraphies and textual abstractions and explore the enduring human will to communicate.
