United Response Postcard Project

 

In early 2013, United Response started their creative disability project, Postcards from the Edges. The project asks individuals to get creative and send a postcard to the world. Britains Top Disabled Fashion model, Kelly Knox got involved in the project and in this short video, we find out more about Kelly and the project. (A bit about Kelly – Kelly has always had to create opportunities for herself and creating a postcard for the campaign was a way to combine creativity and her passion for being an advocate in the fashion world She saw the opportunity for her postcard to be just another way to challenge the fashion industry.)

THE PROJECT: United Response wanted anyone who cared about disability or mental health to tell the world what mattered to them, using just a blank postcard and a little imagination. People answered in their hundreds. The result is a kaleidoscope of different experiences and voices. Pop along to see the huge variety of postcards at:

Postcards from the Edges has been created by United Response as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations. If the Paralympics showed off disabled people’s sporting achievements, they hope this will showcase people's creative abilities. Do visit to add to this evolving story.
