Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park are developing an exciting new live art programme to take place in their Park, from September 2020 – December 2022. Animating the park and investing in contemporary artists and creative practitioners is an immediate and growing priority.
They are interested in a broad range of creative practices that include live art, dance, performance, music and participatory workshops and would like to hear about original, imaginative, contemporary, high quality work of any scale. It might be a visual spectacle or intimate experience, have a broad appeal or be more experimental in approach. This can be an existing work, something you’re developing or a new idea you’d like to explore.
Compton Verney are looking for work that connects with people, place and space, investigates contemporary global and social issues, imagines better futures or shares unrepresented narratives or experiences. They are especially interested in interdisciplinary collaborations across artistic practices, visual artists whose practice encompasses performance and participatory practice and particularly welcome work from Black creatives and practitioners. They are looking to commission work from £500-£10,000 and the deadline for applications is 31 August.
