Outside In is hiring!

Founded by Pallant House Gallery in 2006, Outside In provides a platform for those who define themselves as facing barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance or isolation. An advocate for inclusion and participation for all in the contemporary art world, Outside In was the winner of the Charity Award for Arts, Culture and Heritage in 2013.

The goal of the project is to create a fairer art world which rejects traditional values and institutional judgements about whose work can and should be displayed. As a member of the European Outsider Art Association’s board, and due to the project’s involvement in the Paris Outsider Art Fair, Outside In is now able to offer an increasingly international platform for the artists it supports.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for promoting artists who face barriers to the mainstream art world. You need to be highly motivated and organised to assist the Outside In Manager with all aspects related to press and communications. Outside In prides itself on working with a diverse community and a strong commitment to inclusion and community engagement is essential.

Applicants should have experience of websites, social media and communicating with press. Strong interpersonal, organisational and computer literacy skills are essential for this post. You will be a good team-player but also able to project manage and work as an individual.  Duties and responsibilities are varied and are listed in the attached job/person specification.
