Ten Days in Venice

Stephen White was a runner up in the 2007 Outside In competition and is a member of the Outside In advisory group. Stephens work is pictorial and full of bright vivid colours.

‘Ten Days in Venice’ is his first solo show at Pallant House Gallery.

“In the summer of 2009 I spent ten days in Venice, wandering the walkways alongside the canals, stopping to refresh myself in the many bars and cafés, where I admired the architecture with its own Venetian style. At times there were thousands of people, which I loved to watch as I sat, at other times there was no one and I imagined I was back with Marco Polo, watching the traders going about their business. I took many photos and made many sketches, to work from when I returned home. A flower has no meaning, but it is still beautiful.”

The exhibition runs from August 2nd – August 28th 2011in The Studio at Pallant House Gallery

Private View Thursday 4th August 2011 6pm -8pm
