This year, Toovey’s Antique and Fine Art Auctioneers has chosen Pallant House Gallery’s pioneering project Outside In as the nominated charity for its Christmas Private View and Charity Auction. On Monday 1 December 2014, the Gallery and Toovey’s; a family owned and family run firm with an international standard of expertise, will be raising money for Outside In at the auction house in Washington, West Sussex, with a selection of unique, high-end lots available to bid on.
As well as the high-end lots, there will be a Christmas tree with gifts worth £20, £50 and £100 for those who would like to donate.
Prior to the charity night on 1 December, there will be works by twelve Outside In Award winners on display in the restaurant at Pallant House Gallery until two weeks before the event. The works will then be moved to Toovey’s Auction House and auctioned on the morning of Wednesday 3 December, raising further funds for Outside In.
The Outside In artists with works up for auction are: Dannielle Hodson, David Jones, Jasna Nikolic, Kate Bradbury, Kwei Eden, Manuel Bonifacio, Matthew Sergison-Main, Michelle Roberts, Nigel Kingsbury, Peter Andrews and Phil Baird.
Alongside this display of work by Outside In artists, there will be a group of works kindly donated by artists from the Sussex based Moncrieff-Bray Gallery. The paintings will be exhibited both at Pallant House Gallery and Toovey’s auctioneers and the proceeds of their sale will go to support Outside In.
The exhibiting artists are: Christopher Baker, Deborah Gourlay, Lucy Powell, Oona Campbell, Paul Treasure, Pippa Blake, Tanya Wood and Victoria Threlfall, Madeline Mackay and Tuëma Pattie – with many thanks to the Moncrieff Bray Gallery.
