We are seeking Step Up tutors!

Step Up is Outside In's professional training programme, providing new skills for artists facing barriers to the art world. Outside In currently runs two courses: Workshop Leaders and Interpreting Collections, and is in the process of developing a third course based around curating exhibitions.

Following Outside In's success in securing National Portfolio funding from Arts Council England, we are looking to expand our Step Up programme. We are working closely with partner organisations across the country to develop new and exciting courses that provide our artists with opportunities to earn an income and take on roles within the art world.

We are looking for freelance courses tutors to develop and deliver sessions, give help and support during sessions and provide advice and guidance during courses at venues across the country as and when required by Outside In.

Step Up Interpreting Collections

Our Interpreting Collections course focuses on individuals choosing an area of research from museum and gallery collections. Each session provides participants with training and support to develop skills in researching their chosen area/theme/artist, and also how to interpret what they have researched.

To apply

To apply for this role, please send a CV and covering letter (no more than two sides of A4) outlining why you have the skills and experience for the role to kate.davey@outsidein.org.uk by 9am, Thursday 12th July 2018.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 17th July in Chichester.

These are freelance roles, and Outside In will require the successful applicants to be registered as self-employed. The courses are developed in collaboration with our partner organisations, and dates can be agreed when courses are confirmed. Successful applicants will need to be prepared to travel nationally to deliver the courses.
